As researchers, when we explore something, we are passionate about sharing it in a way that would be received more easily.
We write articles; we do presentations, and visual materials: photography, microscopy images, basic sketches, detailed illustrations, 3D models, are often the best narrators of our research.
Visual communication tools are powerful ways to grab the attention of the audience and enhance the memorability of the subject. Similarly, throughout my research, I needed visual materials to tell my story.

We are pleased to announce that our project entitled “Development of Bioactive Scaffolds for Breast Tissue Engineering Aimed at Preserving Volume and Contour while Enhancing Cellular Viability" has been awarded funding under the TÜBİTAK 1002-A Rapid Support Programme.
The project aims to design and develop novel bioactive scaffolds capable of preserving the natural architecture, volume, and contour of engineered breast tissue, while improving cellular survival and integration. This initiative aligns with BaldemirLab’s ongoing research in biomaterials and regenerative medicine, and represents a significant step towards developing next-generation, patient-oriented tissue engineering solutions.
The project team consists of:
Project Coordinator: Dr. Betül Aldemir Dikici
Researchers: Prof. Dr. Engin Özçivici, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serkan Dikici, Dr. Elif Çavdaroğlu, and Ece Özmen (PhD student)
Project Consultant: Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yemenicioğlu
Scholar: Özgü Özkendir (MSc student)
We congratulate the entire team for this success and look forward to the innovative outcomes this collaboration will bring to the field of breast tissue engineering and biomaterial design!
