As researchers, when we explore something, we are passionate about sharing it in a way that would be received more easily.
We write articles; we do presentations, and visual materials: photography, microscopy images, basic sketches, detailed illustrations, 3D models, are often the best narrators of our research.
Visual communication tools are powerful ways to grab the attention of the audience and enhance the memorability of the subject. Similarly, throughout my research, I needed visual materials to tell my story.

At the end of the last semester, I decided to organise a Summer Writing Club where I can share my experience in academic writing with a group of students from my Tissue Engineering Class.
Starting from the 26th of June, we had online meetings (up to 4 hours) every Sunday at 8 pm for 14 weeks!
We read, discussed, wrote, learnt, made mistakes, learnt more, re-wrote and made more mistakes… We enjoyed the whole process and grew together!
I appreciate the whole Team for their dedication, effort, consistency, and for showing courage to get out of their comfort zone. I am proud of you guys; ilayda karaca, Selin Cullu, Özgü Özkendir, Oğulcan Erdoğan, Hüsniye Nur Yaşar!
And the efforts paid off; we have the first draft of our review article with the figures we have created! We are looking forward to seeing it published!
