pArt of Science
As researchers, when we explore something, we are passionate about sharing it in a way that would be received more easily.
We write articles; we do presentations, and visual materials: photography, microscopy images, basic sketches, detailed illustrations, 3D models, are often the best narrators of our research.
Visual communication tools are powerful ways to grab the attention of the audience and enhance the memorability of the subject. Similarly, throughout my research, I needed visual materials to tell my story.

BaldemirTeam
The Baldemir Team received awards in three different categories at the 11th Biomaterials Days, organized by the Ege University Bioengineering Department on November 9–10, 2024.
Poster Competition:
Emircan Sert, an undergraduate student in Chemical Engineering conducting research within BaldemirLab, was awarded the first-place poster prize among undergraduate students for his work titled "Macroporous Bone Tissue Engineering Scaffolds Fabricated Using Reverse Engineering and 3D Printing."
Scientific Photography Competition:
Held in memory of Prof. Dr. Kadriye TuzlakoÄŸlu, who passed away in 2022:
Özgü Özkendir, a Master's student from the Bioengineering Department, won the first-place award with an image titled "Bio-Volcano," related to their thesis topic.
OÄŸul Can ErdoÄŸan, also a Master's student from the Bioengineering Department, won the third-place award with an image titled "Fallen NanoLeaves,"Â related to their thesis topic.
Congratulations to the entire team for these outstanding achievements!
