pArt of Science
As researchers, when we explore something, we are passionate about sharing it in a way that would be received more easily.
We write articles; we do presentations, and visual materials: photography, microscopy images, basic sketches, detailed illustrations, 3D models, are often the best narrators of our research.
Visual communication tools are powerful ways to grab the attention of the audience and enhance the memorability of the subject. Similarly, throughout my research, I needed visual materials to tell my story.

Hello there!
Welcome to The Baldemir Lab webpage!

We are a junior and vibrant research group with a deep passion for biomaterials and tissue engineering.
Michelangelo says:

"The sculpture is already complete within the marble block, before I start my work. It is already there, I just have to chisel away the superfluous material."
Indeed, everything we need to solve all aspects of humanity's problems is already in Nature; all we need is to put the right pieces together.

We strongly believe in the cumulative nature of science and engineering.
We may be too tiny to change the world, but big enough to make an impact.

Nonetheless, our greater dream is that our personalised, cost-effective, and off-the-shelf biomaterial designs will find a place in the clinics one day and be a remedy for people we have never met…

Till then, we will follow in the footsteps of our curiosity, try to understand and mimic the perfect engineering of Mother Nature and relish the joyful moments of exploring her little secrets.

Stay tuned! :)
